Mantel feedback needed + cabinet fine-tuning in progress
Hi Greg, Kim, and Ryan,
Good progress this week on your remodel project! We've been working closely with our dealer’s rep on strategies to make the entry cabinetry as efficient as possible, and the fine-tuning process is really coming together well.
Where we stand:
Entry cabinet details are getting refined through our rep coordination
We're waiting on local pricing for the glass inserts for your liquor cabinet
Still exploring the best approach for the lighting integration - whether to do custom routing for lighting or order a lighting valance for the liquor cabinet shelves
We suggest meeting at OB Williams in Seattle to review the remaining trimwork, any time next week or beyond. Let me know some days/times that work well for you, and I will coordinate with the warehouse.
Images below are just for fun to show you a bit of what is happening behind the scenes. Click the images for our description.
We need your input on:
The limestone mantel options I sent - have you had a chance to review those?
Your comfort level with custom modifications to the cabinet pieces for the lighting integration (are you comfortable routing for the lighting or would you prefer a light valance for attaching?
Timeline question: I believe you mentioned implementing next spring - should we hold off on permit application and cabinet ordering until closer to your construction timeline?
The lighting plan we've developed focuses on the activity areas and conversation spaces, with good opportunities for artwork display throughout.
Looking at products for implementation:
Some of the fun stuff! Here are the products we’ve been looking at for your project - we’d love to hear your thoughts on these as well:
The column suggestion we provided, TurnCraft, is a great option IF you want the post to be painted. If you prefer a solid wood post, let me know and I’ll provide an alternative product.
More fun: Drawings of everything coming together with suggested trim applied!
Team news: Starting October 1st, Nicole joins us as office manager! She'll be helping with project coordination and you may start seeing her name on @waldrondesigns communications as she gets integrated.
Once we get your feedback on the mantel and lighting approach, and if the structural preliminaries look good, we can have Robert assemble everything for the permit application.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
