Leaky Windows

Let's talk about those leaky windows for a moment. They're not just letting in drafts; they're practically waving goodbye to your hard-earned money as it escapes through the gaps. But fear not! We've got tips and tricks to help you seal the deal on those windows, keeping your home cozy and your wallet happy:

Start by applying top-notch weather stripping and expert caulking to seal any gaps. Elevate your window game with thick thermal curtains that double as insulation, and consider the magic of window films for an extra layer of efficiency. Get crafty with DIY draft stoppers to block out those pesky breezes, and if your budget allows, make a long-term investment in energy-efficient windows. With this superhero squad of strategies, your windows will not only keep your home snug but also ensure your wallet stays happily insulated. Cheers to a warm and sustainable haven!

Combustion Heating

And what about that combustion heating? We know it's been a faithful companion, but it might be time to consider healthier alternatives. Our goal is to help you find a sustainable heating solution that not only keeps you warm but also doesn't fill your home with mysterious chemicals from decades past.

Choosing a sustainable heating solution is about more than just warmth – it's a crucial step in safeguarding your home from the potential dangers of combustion heating. Traditional systems, especially those from past decades, often release harmful pollutants like carbon monoxide and particulate matter into indoor air. These pollutants can lead to serious health issues, from headaches to respiratory problems. By opting for cleaner alternatives such as electric or geothermal heating, you not only reduce your carbon footprint but also eliminate the risks associated with indoor air pollution. Our goal is to guide you toward a heating solution that keeps you warm while prioritizing your health and the environment, creating a home that's both cozy and safe.

Now, we're not here to pressure you into drastic changes overnight. Sustainability is a journey, and we’re here to help with steps that make sense for you. Whether it's swapping out lightbulbs or overhauling your entire energy system, we're here to guide you toward solutions that align with your goals.

The best part? As you make these sustainable choices, you'll find that they grow with you, adapting to your evolving needs. It's not just about reducing costs today; it's about building a home that sustains you for the long haul.

Here's to a home that's not just a shelter but a sanctuary – one that nurtures you, your family, and the planet we all call home.

Rachel Waldron

Waldron Designs was founded by Rachel Waldron (that’s me!). in 2013.

I am so happy designing that it is not unusual to catch me in a giggle as I rev up to do my work. I think of my designs the way that I think of my children- each is unique and has their own personality. It is my job to nurture them and help them grow, not define them.

I got my bachelor's degree in interior design from Washington State University - a CIDA-accredited school - in 2005, immediately moved into a leadership position and have continued designing with passion.

I received my MBA in Marketing in 2012 and launched Waldron Designs in 2013. When I am not designing, you will find me enjoying my precious time with my husband and two spectacular children.
