Revisions in Progress

It can be hard to wait and not know what the heck we’re doing over here, and we apologize for that. This part of the design process often results in us having our heads down and highly focused on updating every detail of the project. So, for funsies, I like to share imagery here and there as we work through it!

Today, you saw several new fixture and finish selections as we flesh out this portion of the design. But, what might it look like in the space? Below are some progress images (very progress - we usually spiff them up for presentation!), to give you an idea of how things are starting to flesh out as finishes are applied.

Standing just outside the kitchen, looking in

Looking toward the living room from the front window wall.

Today, I reached out to our lighting consultant to get a meeting on the books for us to get the power plan assembled, as well as working on the drawings as can be seen above and coordinating with our appliance rep and plumbing rep to get all those selections straightened out. I also spoke with each of the reps for the products we reviewed to ensure that stock would not be an issue.

I think that the alternative to the “Timber” wood in the kitchen cabinets is the “Oyster” finish, which was the warm beigey paint finish we were considering. I will try that on next and share this.

More to come!!

Rachel Waldron

Waldron Designs was founded by Rachel Waldron (that’s me!). in 2013.

I am so happy designing that it is not unusual to catch me in a giggle as I rev up to do my work. I think of my designs the way that I think of my children- each is unique and has their own personality. It is my job to nurture them and help them grow, not define them.

I got my bachelor's degree in interior design from Washington State University - a CIDA-accredited school - in 2005, immediately moved into a leadership position and have continued designing with passion.

I received my MBA in Marketing in 2012 and launched Waldron Designs in 2013. When I am not designing, you will find me enjoying my precious time with my husband and two spectacular children.
