August 1 Update

Hello Crossroads team,

Thank you again for our recent meeting! Here’s a detailed update to keep you informed of where things stand and what’s next for your project:

Recent Progress:

  • We’ve been reviewing all design comments and preferred selections from our last discussion, and are actively working to finalize your cabinetry and finishes packages.

Current Focus & Next Steps:

  • Plan Revisions:
We are currently making minor updates to your floor plans based on the meeting. These revisions—including the full design development set and power plan—are targeted for completion in the upcoming week (August 4–8), at which point we will send an approval of the Design Development phase to move into Contract Documents.

  • Cabinet & Finish Selections:
Our team is consolidating all chosen cabinet details and gathering specification sheets for each product. Simultaneously, we are collecting all finish materials (tile, flooring, counters, plumbing fixtures, etc.) for approval and pricing.

  • Pricing & Lead Times:
We will request up-to-date pricing on all selected products—cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, finishes—and include these in a specification package to share with you and your contractor, Mike. We are also gathering current lead times on every material to help you anticipate scheduling and avoid surprises. This package will also be shared with Ryan.

  • Engineering Coordination:
Next week we will reach out to Robert Henry (engineering) to share the latest set of progress drawings and discuss required engineering reviews. You will be cc'ed in that email so you have a clear view of timing and engineering input, and we'll confirm Robert's anticipated turnaround.

What We Need From You:

  • No immediate action is required this week.

  • If you have any special preferences or concerns about cabinetry, finishes, or fixture styles, please let us know as soon as possible so we can include them before requesting pricing and finalizing selections.

Timeline Recap:

  • August 4–8: Complete plan revisions, consolidate all selected materials and request final pricing/lead times.

  • By August 11: Issue full drawing and material package to Mike (contractor) and confirm engineering steps with Robert Henry.

  • We’ll provide a detailed update as soon as everything is assembled and ready for your review.

Thank you for your ongoing input and for being such great partners in this project! Please reach out with any questions as we move through this important phase.

If you’d like, I can create a ready-to-send spec/pricing message for vendors or an email draft for Robert Henry as well. Let me know!

Rachel Waldron

Waldron Designs was founded by Rachel Waldron (that’s me!). in 2013.

I am so happy designing that it is not unusual to catch me in a giggle as I rev up to do my work. I think of my designs the way that I think of my children- each is unique and has their own personality. It is my job to nurture them and help them grow, not define them.

I got my bachelor's degree in interior design from Washington State University - a CIDA-accredited school - in 2005, immediately moved into a leadership position and have continued designing with passion.

I received my MBA in Marketing in 2012 and launched Waldron Designs in 2013. When I am not designing, you will find me enjoying my precious time with my husband and two spectacular children.
