What Happens if Our Project Needs to Pause?

Designing a home is a journey, not a rush—a winding path shaped by dreams, discoveries, and sometimes… a thoughtful pause. At Waldron Designs, we know these decisions are big, and we’re here for each one. But just as a garden flourishes with steady care, a design project thrives on momentum and shared excitement.

When projects stall for long stretches—weeks or even months—the creative spark that once danced between your story and our sketchbooks can begin to dim. Life’s busy, and sometimes you need time to ponder or regroup, but the rhythm shifts a bit:

  • Our calendars fill, and immediate availability may wane when it’s time to pick things up again.

  • Your project may need a little “reawakening”—a meeting meant to rekindle inspiration and bring the team back in tune.

  • Most of all, we want your home to feel like a priority, not a puzzle piece returned to after too long.

We promise transparency: we’ll always share if your project’s pace might affect timelines, energy, or resources. And when it’s time to restart, we’ll bring artistry and joy to every idea—because your home deserves nothing less.

So, take the time you need, but keep the conversation alive. Your vision should feel fresh, not hurried; inspired, not stalled. Let’s make your paradise together—at a pace where every detail still sings.

How long is our agreement valid?

As much as we wish design dreams could be bottled and kept fresh forever, our agreements—like wildflowers—have a season. For most projects, our contract remains valid for one year from the date it’s signed. Designing a home can sometimes stretch out: maybe life invites a pause, or inspiration takes its time to bloom. If your project extends beyond that year, we’ll reconnect to review the agreement together, making sure everything (including our rates) reflects the here and now.

It’s not just paperwork—it’s our way to ensure your home receives the care, attention, and resources it deserves, no matter the calendar. We’ll always have a heartfelt conversation before any changes, so you’re never caught by surprise.

Rachel Waldron

Waldron Designs was founded by Rachel Waldron (that’s me!). in 2013.

I am so happy designing that it is not unusual to catch me in a giggle as I rev up to do my work. I think of my designs the way that I think of my children- each is unique and has their own personality. It is my job to nurture them and help them grow, not define them.

I got my bachelor's degree in interior design from Washington State University - a CIDA-accredited school - in 2005, immediately moved into a leadership position and have continued designing with passion.

I received my MBA in Marketing in 2012 and launched Waldron Designs in 2013. When I am not designing, you will find me enjoying my precious time with my husband and two spectacular children.
