Chautauqua Beach Residence

In 2016, this split-level home received a complete makeover with a new kitchen, hidden rooms, and the division of one large bathroom into two, to create a powder and master bath. Light and playful colors were used with hidden connections throughout. Eight years later, our clients returned for an expansion over their garage.

Our role:

  • 515 square foot addition over garage

  • Complete kitchen renovation to include finish and fixture selection and cabinetry design.

  • Furnishing consulting throughout upper level.

  • Design of hidden bookshelves and space beyond to include skylight selection and placement.

  • Art placement.

  • Complete design of two bathrooms to include the division of one bathroom to create two.

  • Finish and fixture selections throughout the upper level of the home.

  • Window treatment selections (not pictured), procurement, and installation.

  • Construction administration and client representation for out-of-town client.

Sustainable Features:

  • Upcycled counters, previously used as bowling alley flooring

  • Low-VOC paint products

  • Addition of skylights to implement more natural lighting

  • Clear-stained flooring to prevent offgassing
