Making Progress!
Hey Ben & Delaney!
It sounds like Brian is a no-go for the cabinets (he’s swamped). So, we did a bit more research and have a new RTA (Ready to Assemble) cabinet line to explore. We’ve developed two potential layouts for your space, with one being the most likely chosen direction. Our goal is to get one to two more options for you, and gather some preliminary imagery to give an idea of different aesthetic directions we could take this.
At this point, the RTA cabinet pricing seems to hit a high around $6k, so we’re looking at a much more feasible budget, and perhaps the opportunity to do a bit more.
Another thing to consider: Reuse! Second Use and Earthwise are great options for finding salvaged products and may just have a perfect counter material that can be handed off to a fabricator for use in your space! To ensure that it will work, we’ll need the full plan first. I have a fabricator, so we’d just need to figure out how to get the slab to them and confirm that it works (maybe they’d pick it up!) - I used lab counters once in the past and it made an awesome counter: https://ewsalvage.com/inventory/?item=73907-phenolic_resin_grey_countertop_1_x_40.375_x_66. It looks like there’d be plenty here no matter what we did! Four of those, and you’d be set!
We expect to be ready to meet and share our process with you by the end of next week, so please help yourselves to schedule a meeting in our office, using the link below.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We will be in our 'new’ office when you come in. The new location is still in the Vashon Village, but will be next door. We hope to have our signs in place by then, but if we haven’t - it is unit B-2, next to “Mostly Nordic”
