Our Policies
COMMUNICATION
Communication is a two-way street.
A 3-day turnaround should be the maximum unless otherwise notified (from both parties).
We value our personal time and yours. Let’s keep it to business hours (9:30 am - 4:30 pm), and schedule appointments to meet.
Our phone is a landline - no texts, please!
SCHEDULING
Ask us for our calendar link any time. It stays the same, so save it to schedule whenever you need us.
Our calendars fill up about 2 weeks in advance, so let’s work together to plan ahead!
BUSINESS HOURS/VACATION TIME
We consider vacations when we develop your project plan and schedule, and we will let you know when we have a vacation/closure planned.
Business hours are 9:30 am - 4:30 pm M-Th. We value our private time, and yours. Please let us know if this will not work for you.
Waldron Designs closes every February for one week. We will off-grid during this time.
BUDGET POLICY
Knowing your budget helps us stay within that budget.
We can give you a $5k sofa or a $50k sofa. Please don’t leave us in the dark.
We can help with budget planning.
CONTRACTOR POLICY
We’d like your contractor involved as early as possible.
Design and construction are not disparate from each other. Your project will be more successful if we work together.
Ask your contractor about pre-construction services.
COMPENSATION
We work each phase with a deposit. Our first phase requires a $2,000 deposit and work is billed to that deposit. The next phase, preliminary design, will require a $5,000 nonrefundable deposit which is applied to the final design invoice as well as a $500 nonrefundable Construction Administration fee which will be applied to Construction Administration.
Late payments will cause project delays and may result in termination.
Checks are preferred, but upon request, we accept many payment methods (credit card, ACH, Venmo). We do pass on the processing fees and these fees vary depending on the payment method, so we need to know the type of payment so that we may update your invoice to reflect the correct payment method.
DECISION MAKER POLICY
It is important that all decision-makers understand the process and the “why”.
Decision-makers must attend the majority of our meetings from start to finish.
OUR DUTY
We are formerly trained and degreed professionals and take this seriously.
We design for your welfare and for future generations.
Sustainable design is not optional. It is not a perk.
Building code is a minimum, not a roadblock to sidestep.
