Onmyōdō Home

An architect-designed home, sitting in the Portage neighborhood with a spectacular garden and picturesque waterfront views, this home was ready for an update to the master suite (bedroom, closet and master bath), the fireplace seating area, the guest bath, and the laundry room. The house had a fantastic story of a previous “party house” complete with a pool just outside the front door. The new owners are a little bit less of the party animal type and saw the potential for a relaxing, zen space. Our approach can be read about further in our article, but it was primarily focused on the Japanese influence of Onmyōdō.

Our role:

• Complete design of two bathrooms and laundry room.

• Design of bench and shelving to coordinate with existing master vanity provided by the owner (not shown).

• Finish and fixture selections for bedroom, fireplace, and above-mentioned fully designed spaces.
