I'm a little late on the color palette for April, but hey- at least I didn't miss two months in a row (like I did in January and February! oops).
We all know the phrase April showers bring May flowers, but there is so much more to the colors of April beyond grey skies and rain. I think of thunderstorms, dyed eggs, markers and glitter (because that's how we do our eggs!), bright yellow raincoats, and for some reason, Paddington Bear. Yes- the mom in me is so apparent.
April is so full of color that I actually had a hard time coming up with a palette, so I chose a few from each scene that came to mind, and whala! With our blue-grey skies and dark thunderclouds, the blue and grey was a must. But, what about those wonderful cherry blossoms, the yellow daffodils popping through, and of course- yellow raincoats! I toned the brighter colors down a bit to work with the pastels that spring brings to mind, and generated the color palette below.
